Amalfi is located in Southern Italy, on the Mediterranean and has a typical southern climate with hot summers and mild winters. In summer average temperatures go up to 30° C (90°F), while in winter the average temperature stays above 10°C (50°F).
Rain can be abundant in the winter period (which is great if you walk to the great waterfalls in the Valle dei Mulini)
